![]() Maybe it's a bug inside the Softstep software. Sometimes it does, what it supposed to do and in the very next moment it does something else or refuses to work. Just another process in getting ready to play that should not happen IMO. When loading my Softstep settings, the expression pedal calibration is there but Mainstage does not recognize it until I recalibrate the pedal. I run Softstep in what they called hosted mode so that it's actual editing software is open. The expression pedal is plugged into Softstep. I still have to go through the process of going to the concert level, go to Layout and then edit mode whenever I open up Mainstage. and ones where a patch chaneg did in fact start Ultrabeat this seemed like it could work to avoid having Ultrabeat pop out of nowhere when doing a patch change. I assigned the screen control/start play button to also mute the channel for Ultrabeat but I assigned it in the invert mode. ![]() although it seems ridiclous to have to do. come on Apple! I tried something last night on Ultrabeat. I am using this on a Mac Pro with Snow Leopard. What do others think? I ask because the stability of the other aspects of Mainstage does not seem to be there and I am wondering about it as a complete live solution with looping, sequenced drums etc. ![]() Basically the only thing that seems reliable right now is the processing aspect of Mainstage. to start a new loop then all of a sudden the previous loop shows up and I have a complete mess. In fact it does not start playing it either. sometimes when I hit record for a loop (with the Softstep) the looper does not show a waveform and looks like it is recording the loop. ![]() An Ultrabeat sequence starts playing sometimes when I change patches, and external expression pedal has to be calibrated every time I open Mainstage (otherwise it will not be recognized), Ultrabeat sequences do not output audio until I go the concert level then go to Layout then go to edit mode. I am using it with a Softstep midi controller and a Novation Zero MkII. I have been using Mainstage now in a live situation for about three weeks. ![]()
